This task will be based on their work from CBA 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">The Assessment Task will be graded by the State Examinations Commission and is worth 10% of the State Exam in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">In the Autumn following the Junior Cycle Exams students will be presented with a Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:14px\">It will contain three elements<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The grades and descriptors awarded in the State Exams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The descriptors awarded in CBA 1 and CBA 2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Other Areas of Learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1st year Curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students study all available subjects as per the 1st Year list of subjects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Irish<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">English<\/li>\n<li>French <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">or<\/span> German<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Mathematics<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">History<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Geography<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">C.S.P.E. (Civic Social Political Education)<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">French<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">German<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Business Studies<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Art<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Music<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Science<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Home Economics<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Religious Education<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Physical Education<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">S.P.H.E. (Social Personal Health Education)<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Digital Technology<\/li>\n<li data-tadv-p=\"keep\">Career Guidance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All 1st year students have the opportunity to study the following optional subjects for one year prior to choosing their subjects for the Junior Cycle.
