7 members of our student council attended the annual conference of Meath Comhairle na n\u00d3g, held in the Ardboyne Hotel on October 24th. It was a busy and enjoyable day. The Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council Sharon Tolan opened the conference with an address to all the delegates.<\/p>\n

The students engaged in icebreaker exercises with students from schools across Meath. Afterwards, we went on to discuss different topics and issues that are important to youth today, including \u201cDigital Safety\u201d, \u201cSchool Stress\u201d, and \u201cYouth Inequality\u201d.<\/p>\n

2 students from our group have been elected to be members of Comhairle na n\u00d3g. They will be members for the coming 2 years, and amongst the people who will be replacing the 10 members who are leaving. 2 representatives from each school were picked. \u201cIt was nice to be able to talk and be heard about the issues of today\u201d.- L.
