The final Student council fundraiser of the year was for our local branch of the St Vincent de Paul. We ran a secondhand shop – stocked with donations from students, staff and the local SVP shop – during lunchtime in the gym on April 3rd. It was a great success, with lots of interested shoppers browsing our wares, we managed to raise €201 on the day.
Many thanks to our contacts in the Trim shop – Michael and Magda – for their help in providing stock, clothes hangers and railing to display the merchandise. And many thanks to all those who came along to support this worthy cause, nabbing a few bargains while shopping sustainably!
