Senior Prefects/Form Teacher Assistants are Leaving Certificate students chosen by staff. They are students who have a proven track record of consideration and care of others, students who have shown commitment to the school and who are able to use their initiative. In other words, they uphold the ethos of the school.

These students perform a number of vital roles in the school, providing a valuable source of support for staff and students alike. These duties include mentoring a specific form group, assisting in the organisation of school functions and acting as school ambassadors when dealing with outside agencies. They are primarily role models , it is envisaged that their position as senior prefect will help them to develop leadership and organisational skills which will remain with them long into their adult life and future endeavours.
