School secretaries and caretakers who are members of the Fórsa trade union, have planned industrial action. It will begin on Thursday 28 August and pickets may be placed at schools.
Please be assured that schools will remain open as normal for all students, and teaching and learning will continue without disruption. The Department of Education and Youth has referred the matter to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to help resolve the dispute and will continue to engage with all parties involved.
Unfortunately, the school phones and office will not be manned for the duration of the strike. The primary means of communication between school and home will be through VSware, student journal and the school email address www.info@scoilmhuiretrim.ie
Any visits to the school must be by prior arrangement through the school email address.
