On Wednesday 4th Nov, members of Gluais delivered handwritten letters to the residents of St Joseph’s Nursing Home in Trim.
Each member of our school band wrote a personal letter to a resident, their new pen pal, opening with the greeting “To my new Friend”.
In line with Covid-19 safety guidelines, all letters, which were written 2 weeks ago, were left in school storage over the Halloween midterm break to eliminate any risk of possible infection transmission.
Well done to all members of Gluais – this initiative will surely bring a smile to the residents of St Joseph’s during such difficult time.
