Huge congratulations to Gluais and Mr M Kerr who were awarded first prize for best Youth Project at the Trim Municipal District Pride of Place Awards ceremony in the Trim Castle Hotel on Wednesday evening last

The presentation was made to Mr Kerr on behalf of Gluais and it recognised the outstanding contribution that the group has made to their local community. Gluais has performed at numerous events within the community to celebrate the many special occasions that have taken place over the years. The involvement of so many young people was commended and seen as a significantly positive contribution to Trim and its surrounding areas. The award also acknowledged the enormous fundraising efforts carried out by the group over the years for so many worthy charities. 

Mr Kerr was also presented with a separate award ‘Volunteer Of The Year’ in recognition of the amazing work and effort that he has put into Gluais, which in large contributed to their phenomenal success. He gave his time willingly to offer students of Scoil Mhuire a safe place and platform to flourish and develop their many skills in dance , music and song.

Gluais will now progress to the all county Pride of Place Awards which will take place at the end of November. Best of luck and well done to all involved
