On Day 1 of the North Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships, Scoil Mhuire had 16 athletes competing in the Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Events. Each girl put in a great performance in their event/s. The following girls qualified for the Leinster Track & Field Championships on 18 and 21 May in Santry
Stadium:
K. Carroll – 1st – 1,500m Intermediate
A.Costello – 2nd – 1,500m Senior
K. Larkin – 3rd – 1,100m Junior
L. Mooney – 1st – Long Jump Minor 2nd – 100m
E. Mooney – 3rd – 300m Inter
The other girls who competed very well also were H. Cooke 80m Hdls, V. Edosa 100m, L. Fanning 500m, E. Geraghty 100m, V. Larkin 1,500m, I. Lynch 1,500m, C. McCarrick 100m, C. McMorrow 1,500m, A. Sullivan 100m
The Minor Relay were just pipped for 3rd place. They were L. Mooney, V. Larkin, A. Shelvin and L. Fanning.
On Day 2 of the North Leinster Schools Track & Field Championships, Scoil Mhuire had 19 athletes competing in the Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior events. The following girls qualified for the Leinster Track & Field Championships also:
E. Mooney – 1st – 300m Hdls Inter
M. Fahy – 3rd – 300m Hdls Inter
A. Costello – 2nd – 3,000m Senior
E. Hanley – 2nd – 200m Minor
4 x 300m Senior Relay: K. Mulchrone, G. Connolly, K. Connolly , A. Sullivan – 1st Place
The other athletes who competed on the day were
