Congratulations to student A. Shelvin won her 300m run in Carlow at the weekend and will now represent Ireland at the Schools Internationals in Derby on 19 July. This is where Rashide Adeleke, Sophie Becker and others would’ve started their athletics careers. It is very difficult to qualify for the SIABS and only the top 2 get through from each event . Indeed, only 3 girls from our school have ever qualified. Well done to her mum who is her coach and team manager Moira Groome who will be accompanying her. Best of luck!
