From the 21st-24th of April 2026, Scoil Mhuire opened the stage to their talented group of TY students who performed “Juliet Rewritten”- a jukebox musical performance based on the Broadway musical “& Juliet”. Juliet Rewritten follows the path of Juliet if she didn’t follow her written fate and instead lived, and moved on from Romeo, exploring new places and meeting new people. The TY’s began rehearsing in early September, under the careful and experienced guidance of Martina Dixon and Sarah Healy. The talent was plentiful throughout the cast from fantastic singers to rhythmic dancers, and the entire production from cast to set design and lighting was a sight to behold. The main cast included S Ní Chonaill, S Connolly Deane, S Hughes, L Norman, S McAuley, M Kerrigan, N Ní Shlatara and K Prendergast. Each played an engaging and entertaining character with various solos, duets and group pieces throughout. “Juliet Rewritten” was a beautiful performance about identity and embracing independence, and the importance of friendship and honesty. The TY performance was incredible and will be remembered for years to come
