Scoil Mhuire have been participating in Athletics for the past 15 years or more with great success in achieving Gold, Silver and Bronze in both Track & Field and Cross Country Championships. They compete at Provincial and National Levels which include the Schools Meets, North Leinsters, Leinsters and All Ireland Cross Country and Track & Field Schools Championships. Some of the girls are members of their local Athletics Club but those that aren’t are welcome to compete also . Competitions start from October with Cross Country Meets and from April to May with Track & Field Championships. Athletics covers all the fundamentals of sport, i.e. Agility, Balance and Co-ordination.
