As a result of their second round interviews, Rachel McEnroe, Ali Sherlock, Aoife Ní Shlatara & Léa Murray were selected to be one of the 31 groups to go forward to the Certified Irish Angus Beef Exhibition in Croke Park on 14 March 2019. They hope that they will be one of five finalist teams and awarded five Irish Angus calves each at the National Ploughing Championships 2019. The teams will rear their calves through to finishing and fully benefit from the net profit at sale of the calves to ABP or Kepak. An additional 2,000euro cash prize will be awarded to one overall winning team. All finalists will receive skills development, inductions and insights into the meat production supply chain from farm to retail presentation over the course of a 2 year programme.
Wishing them all the best!
