On Wednesday, February 8th we held our first steering committee meeting for the PDST Wellread National Award. The committee – made up of students, staff, parents and representatives from Trim Library and Trim Family Resource Centre – met to explore the process involved in promoting a reading culture in the school and surrounding community. This award accreditation process requires the involvement of all stakeholders. So we aim to plan and implement a series of initiatives to foster an enjoyment of reading over the next 3 years in the school. We are looking forward to working together on this exciting project!
