As part of our Numeracy Initiative, under the umbrella of our School Improvement Plan, Scoil Mhuire runs a “Problem Solving Club” for all Junior Cycle Students.
The club is organised by the Numeracy Team, teachers and with assistance from a team of Transition Year students.
Taking place over lunch students, can try their hand at: solving fun problems (some of which have been sourced with thanks to the PACT Team at Maynooth University), playing cards with fellow students or challenge a teacher at chess or checkers!!
We have now extended the Club to include Countdown in the Atrium
